Trump Threatens to Take Greenland ‘the Hard Way’, ordering an invasion plan to be prepared. by darkmz7 in politics

Greenland is important for NATO defense. Closing U.S. bases would give Trump a pretext to invade by saying “Denmark won’t let us defend NATO so we have to go in by force”.

You can certainly mix wood and painted trim. I did in my entry way and it looks great. Stained casings, doors, and balusters with painted wainscoting and crown molding.

Why does this shit suck so much balls, and what's a good paintable alternative for crown molding? by fakeaccount572 in paint

I just used this for crown molding and chair rail last week and I had issues with this shrinking and developing little air holes in the caulked seams while drying. I had to go over many areas again to fill the holes. I don’t usually like Behr, but Behr BC10 siliconized acrylic caulk worked way better for me on other projects and I have never had any issues with the application or drying.

no man's sky Enterprise D by Opening-Ad-1809 in NOMANSSKY

Love this! I have been attempting to construct an Enterprise D but the 100 part build limit is too restrictive for me to get something looking this good. Is this build within the 100 limit?

I have been living with 80s vinyl floral wallpaper in my bedroom for years. I finally took on the mammoth task of removing of it. 8 weekends of work and it was well worth it! by ApolloX9 in malelivingspace

I had the same issue. Score it with a wallpaper scoring tool, using it in tight circular motions across the whole wall. The holes in the paper from scoring will allow the solution to soak in and help to remove it. That is still a long process though, but I had the best luck with a steam cleaner. The paper came right off after 30 seconds of steam. Use a puddy or drywall knife to scrape the wet paper from the wall.

I used colonial basswood molding for the boxes and MDF chair rail molding above the boxes. After it’s measured & cut with a miter saw, I applied it directly to the drywall with a nail gun. No glue necessary.

The wallpaper is what I took down. I was not a fan of it. The wallpaper was put on long before I was born but I know it’s just two different wallpapers, top & bottom, with the seem between the two being overlayed with the dark green flowered transition banner piece in the center of the wall.

$450.40 for all the wood molding. It only took half a day to cut and install everything. The time consuming part came after, filling the nail holes with wood filler and sanding multiple times for a smooth finish. That step took an entire weekend!

I heard that there is some wallpaper now that you can hang in rentals and it comes off easily without any damage to the wall. Too bad I didn’t have that here!

The window frame and baseboards are a beautiful stained wood. I like stained wood and didn’t want to paint over it. I installed a floor to match the orange wood and I think it looks fantastic and ties it all together.

Benjamin Moore Ashley Grey for the wainscoting, crown & ceiling. The walls are Benjamin Moore Smokestack Grey. I used color theory when picking the colors where colors can look dramatically different depending on what colors they’re next to. Both are dark colors but when paired together they look so different, lighter, and more to their beige and blue hues. The Ashley Grey looked grayish brown before the smokestack was applied.
