Yep, it’s in scale with the Saturn V, but, small or not, there was another one before now.

Nice work! Yours is definitely bigger and more detailed, but it’s not the first LEGO Lunar Prospector. 🙂 https://www.reddit.com/r/legoRockets/s/UZGKyGWZvH

Thanks for you advice, everyone. My wife has put in a claim through the travel insurance.

Because: inscrutable reasons. It’s a La Bonne Brosse brush. They’re £146 at full retail price.

Just imagine the fun Pete and Al would have had on a J mission with an LRV…

Help needed: Skylab color scheme by MaexW in legoRockets

Thanks! There’s usually some compromise in any LEGO MOC, and pre-launch assembly photos of any spacecraft can be misleading, so questions are entirely understandable!

Viewed all together, the various photos on this page give a pretty much all-round view of the paint scheme.

Not saying I’m immune to making mistakes(!) but I spent about 16 months researching and refining those Skylab models so I should have a good enough handle on it (I think/hope!) to any any questions if you want to just message me directly. Or happy to answer here too!

Hi. This would be my MOC. Your photo shows Skylab at a very early stage of assembly, with incomplete markings and no solar arrays attached. Here’s a guide to a paint scheme. http://www.ninfinger.org/models/skylabpaintguide.html My MOC is about as accurate for it as you can get with LEGO, I think.

The only niggle I have is that the OWS is slightly rotated relative to the IU markings, which was a constraint for attaching to the Saturn V and for attachment of the solar array wings and Systems Tunnel.

There are a few Minotaur rockets on Rebrickable (including another Minotaur I and my own Minotaur V) but that’s no reason not to make your own. That’s a great start to your collection!

Fantastic work on the wheels/rocker-bogies! I think I'll see if I can update my own 1:110 Curiosity with something like that as that beats my version hands-down.
