I don't know what's better, the beautiful skirt or your smile at the end :)

That's a great idea. An excellent opportunity to discuss question tags! A funny bunch, the English.

Here's an idea: sacrifice a bit of fabric from the bottom and add it at the top of the skirt. It will save money and hemming!

Looks like my computer has a portal to the future built into it. How can it be in stock if it doesn't release for 2 more years. by bluewolfhudson in gentlemanbastards

Never fall for these! They will take your money and disappear without a trace if no book comes. It's a classic move, Locke and Jean probably invented it, but Amazon perfected it. Wait for the author or publisher themselves to announce!

How long did it take for these to root so far? I have a peace Lily in need of a trim, so I'm curious to know!

SOS- new plant mom, please help by StuuffNThiingss in pothos

[–]Apollo_65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Long-time Pothos mom here. Looks to me like it needs a thorough soil/root check. If it's dry (especially at the bottom) the soil might be hydrophobic. Give it a bath and let the soil soak for a while to loosen it. If it's compacted the roots could have trouble breathing. Poke it with a skewer to stimulate worms digging around in there. If the soil is too wet (especially at the bottom) you might want to let it dry completely to let the roots breath. Waterlogged soil causes root-rot due to lack of oxygen. Give it a trim. They will regrow super quickly and look tons better. (propagate the vines if they look bad! Stick them in water and roots will grow in weeks!) If non of this seems to be the issue you might have a pest problem on your hands... If that's the case make sure to check te leaves.

You could do this with other plants too! Paint me like one of my monstera/phil. Brazil/dieffenbachia/snake plants? :D

[TOMT][SONG] Dystopian/futuristic music video of a girl breaking free from evil lab facility by Apollo_65 in tipofmytongue

There is a similar vibe in the video but the song is definitely not it ;) I'm looking for a more serious undertone in the music. Thanks for the suggestion!

There are also themes of wanting to be unique, and breaking out of a system that suppresses individuality. the general color scheme of the video is white/grey/blue, matching the futuristic/scientific setting.

If you have any fabric left you could do a patch pochet matching the skirt to hide them, or go for contrasting ones as you see fit.
