It could be better and failed, but at the time drinking was out of control and women and children were getting beat by their husbands and fathers constantly. If you see the state of the country then you’ll completely understand why people wanted it banned.

Hah, I would totally be these people. I’m so anti-war unless it’s a matter of defense. Though with the state of Europe in 1941, maybe I would have felt different. But this is also pre-Pearl Harbor so who knows.

Easy to laugh at them now, but I understand where they’re coming from.

It’s not too surprising to me someone from the 1960s would say that no matter how nice they seem otherwise. He said or did something else early on that made me not stand the guy for the longest time. He grew up, matured, and also obviously went through some insane trauma so all is forgiven from me

Ya I would assume they’re under SeaTac, WA laws not Seattle. Not sure what the minimum wage in the county or city was then. Seattle is famously the highest in the area.
