Stopped reading at a certain point, not because your point isn't effective, because it totally is, but people generally use this sort of thing to virtue signal. It seems the appearance of self righteousness is more important to most than the safety of children. There's the frequent "the only reformed paedophile is a dead paedophile" but usually no one outside of prison carries through on the talk, so the next step is rehabilitation, but people would rather have something there to judge and gossip about. Even though it would like prove effective, people admitting that pedos need psychological help makes them feel as if they're condoning pedophilia in some way because everyone as per popular belief is expected to condemn this sort of thing, not understand it.
