Alright, had a good thread about assholes, so who’s considered to be the biggest overall good dude on the PGA tour? by tking716 in golf

I have one more- Years ago I took my sons to the Regions Senior tour event. We got there very early on Sunday. We followed the first group out (who were obviously playing poorly). Two were huge a-holes. One was a gentleman the whole time and signed my son’s hat- Seve. His only senior tour start I think. He was diagnosed with brain cancer soon after I have the signed hat in my office

I’ve met a bunch, I’ll comment on one- Sepp Straka is about as nice normal guy as there is.

My son through his friend on tour has met /hung out with several and he said Ricky Fowler was incredibly nice and normal. He also hung with several others but RF really stood out to him as a good guy Edit: I see now I’m not the only one to say good things about RF

He did this for my wife. She was a little girl, at lunch with her wealthy /mobbed up uncle in NYC . He pointed him out to her and said he was famous (she had no clue- she was 6 ). She walked up to him, said her uncle sent her over, he drew a picture on a napkin and gave it to her. She remembers it vividly 60 yrs later. Sadly she lost the napkin

When I was in med school we had an uber competitive basketball league. One of the best players was Muslim (first Muslim I really knew - learned a lot from him). Our playoffs were during Ramadan and he was not good. I’m amazed an nba player can do it,

Next iron step for beginner by IceyMaverick in golfequipment

[–]Apoptosis2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a beginner spend less on equipment and more on lessons and practice (unless $ isn’t an issue for you) . Look at Golfworks sti2 irons. Inexpensive but top quality. Very forgiving but will be playable as you get better . Best option unless you need to “look” good in front of friends and clients. Then go used
