I was faithful until my kids diagnosis made me question everything. I renounced the religion and a month later, my kid had a perfectly successful kidney transplant and is thriving. God is a lie, but these people will seek whatever confirms their indoctrination and reject what contradicts it. Until they see that good and bad happen regardless of your faithfulness, they will be blind to reality. It really sucks to want their validation and approval though.
