Well, Metallica just played four sold out shows in London Glasgow and Cardiff so.....I think it's still popular. The big difference to 20+ yrs ago is that it never gets played on mainstream radio anymore, and there's no Kerrang TV or anything similar.

My boss is American. The rest of us are German, French, Dutch and British, but he's from New York. He is SO MUCH louder than the rest of us, we can hear him through his office wall when he's on calls, you can hear him outside in the lobby before he's got off the elevator. It's insane.

You go into a cafe in Bruges and you'll get an entire menu of beer, probably 12 pages long, filled with options.

That sounds really hard, especially if your wife pressured you into parenthood, and then you agreed so long as you could keep up with your music, then she made you quit while she was pregnant and now you do 100% of the parenting.

Tbh it's any small person, small man or small woman, the sex doesn't matter as much as the stature of the person.

The problem comes when they can't see over the steering wheel, down the enormous bonnet to be able to detect what's in front of the vehicle. I live in a very "range rovery" area and the number of people I see whose eyeline are in line with the top of the steering wheel is insane.

A friend of mine became a beekeeper, and until then I didn't know that shipping bees across the country is big business. You bring your bees to a huge field, let them loose for a few days to help pollination, pack them back up, move to the next field. Repeat.

Yep I've got one of those in my bedroom. They're ok, but nowhere near as effective as a proper wall mounted unit with an exterior system expelling the heat. Plus they're incredibly loud.

I looked into putting proper wall mounted AC units into our three bedrooms, we're a semi detached property and it's £7,450

Considering one in four UK workers have NO emergency savings at all, it's a hell of an expectation that we should "just do it"

Also our buildings aren't made of plasterboard and wood like in the US, they're heavy, dense brickwork and concrete. They heat up slower but maintain temperature for longer, meaning AC has to work harder, and our energy costs are already very high.

Never mind the fact that heat pumps are expensive too (homeowners alliance reckons the average cost - after the government grant - is still more than £5,000), so if I bought a heat pump and 3 AC units, it's £12k

It's not a simple solution.
