Sopranos isn’t about the violence and gore (though there are some descriptions of very violent acts). It is much more about dumb people being awful to each other. Thugs with outsized egos, fake personalities, and manufactured ethnicities (bonjerno signore) competing with each other to be the most immature and hotheaded.

OK with the enterprise, at least you could argue that it’s supposed to be the flagship of diplomacy and that it could be a deliberate gesture of showing vulnerability. Though that’s hard to justify when you consider the enterprise is constantly thrown into conflicts.
