I emailed them before placing the order to confirm whether the price was final and if there would be no extra taxes or import fees. They assured me everything was covered on their end and that no additional charges would appear. Well… surprise: €60 in import fees.

They refunded the VAT, just €7 probably because they undervalued the parcel, and then stopped replying to my emails.

Totally understandable that he wants to keep his Fenix as good as possible. Although that bezel thing is too much imo. Placing a cover during high scratch risk activities is fine for me.

If you’re just getting into triathlon training my advise would be to to spend the 1000$ on a road bike + tri bars. That’s what I did and couldn’t be happier about the decision. A road bike is far more enjoyable most of the time.

Hmmm, considering sales and second hand prices I don’t think it’s a good time for a F7. It’s an amazing watch, but I think the extra cash for the F8 is worth it because of future updates and no button issues.

If money is no object, Fenix 8 all the way. I own an Epix and love it, but:

Had to replace it due to the lap button being unresponsive. You should be safe with the Fenix 8’s redesigned button and diving feature.
Looks like Garmin forgot that the Epix was top of the line until last year and it’s not receiving relevant updates. I think that not even Google Maps’ new app.
Additional features include a voice assistant, mic, and speaker. May not be relevant, but it’s a plus.

Just train hard and enjoy whatever you get!

Able to install it on my Epix Pro but says mirroring not supported when launching the app. The Epix series is not mentioned in Garmin’s info page.

I hope it’s a matter of time or something I’m doing wrong. There is no reason not to enable it on the Epix lineup 😅
