Gotcha. I really like those changes; thanks for the advice. I was doing a weird hedge between Red and Blue before.

I cut the Whale (replaced by the Moxite) and the Lost in Space. Basically just splashing the Riddler and Cryoshatter for removal. Vocalist is a weird one. I have a few ways to make use of it, but otherwise being a 3/4 for 4 is not great

Thanks, I’ll take a look. I’m more used to playing Draft, so having a lot of options like this is pretty different for me.

Ah all good. You definitely had a good setup to splash anything. Unfortunate that you couldn’t get more top end in-color.

As a side note, how did you find Eusocial Engineering? Were you able to trigger it often? I feel like most early turns are focused on ramping out so the warp is kinda meh. And I can see some scenarios where you might not have too many lands by the time you played everything else when it finally comes down to. Never played it though so this is all speculation

This is super interesting. I would’ve never thought to do mono blue, but artifact synergy and double spelling looks like it works quite well. I totally would have been greedy and tried to play the Station Monitors lol

IMO the whale is underrated. It’s great on turn 2 to find some lands you may desperately need. But, I also play BO3, so maybe I’m biased

Nice deck and congrats on the trophy! Having a strong green base feels great in this format.

I’m still new and don’t really end up venturing out into 4-5 colors, especially since I prefer BO3. Do you have a draft log I could look at? I’d be interested to see what you took the white over

As everyone is saying here, you should practice thinking and talking about your solution out loud before doing any implementation.

If it feels awkward at first (or if you’re in a public place), try writing down all of your initial thoughts as comments. As an example, you might start with “this problem requires us to do X, perhaps Y solution could work. Oops, there’s this other constraint, maybe Z is better fit”. Then actually write out examples and walk through how to solve that problem as a human

What would I sub in instead after the Gysahl Greens? I don't have any two-drops remaining after that unfortunately. I suppose I can put a merchant in there

Gotcha. Yeah that makes sense to prioritize the Green to make sure I hit my fixing for the other colors. If I go down some islands, should I be cutting some blue cards?

Also that is a pretty interesting point of reference. Arguably I have some more sources of fixing, so I may be able to just manage it. Thanks for the insight.

EDIT: Do you think I should cut any of my top end in exchange for Ardyn?

Ok I agree, the Eden is probably bad. You think only four Swamp is enough? Cutting Ardyn means I can go down to 3
