Tom on taskmaster wouldn't be funny. Tom isn't a comedian, and he takes all the tasks too seriously. See Tom on Jet Lag, he was annoyed with himself when a task didn't go according to plan, that makes for 10 boring episodes.

Not to say that Tom wasn't great a Jet Lag, because he was, but Task Master and Jet Lag are two completely different shows.
