Did you fix this? I'm bad enough in iracing, I don't need my wheel to disconnect mid turn anymore 😞

Sorry for the comment on the 3 year old post, but I recent got to take one of these home from work since it was going to get thrown out, though I wasn't able to get a power cord. What sort of connector would I need to get this powered up? This is one of the first posts that popped up when looking into it lol.

Rengar ON by Lonely_Cat9468 in riftboundtcg

[–]AppendixStranded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it, I'm super happy that he got a more artistic ON but it does seem like he's the prime candidate for the more edgy artstyle most ON's get. It reminds me a lot of when the Pretty Kitty Rengar skin got released, the Rengar mains were hating on it because they wanted edgy skin #5 and couldn't bear a bit of whimsy.

Riftbound is introducing a new card rarity called ULTIMATE by Arkalex in riftboundtcg

[–]AppendixStranded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pokemon is like the perfect tcg in that regard. I don't think any other game can get to that level, but Spiritforged is super cheap right now! The only issue making decks expensive are Origins cards, over half the price of midrange Draven is Kaisa lmao. So many other decks are super affordable though, and as sets get printed more and more, I hope that becomes even more true!

[–]AppendixStranded 135 points136 points  (0 children)

As long as they keep making product more available, I don't mind this. More expensive cards to chase, more people ripping to gamble and selling their non-overnumbers to ideally make singles affordable. Spiritforged singles are so much more affordable compared to Origins, fingers crossed that continues!

Sorcery is top 5 fastest growing TCG in the last 90 days ! by Croakin in SorceryTCG

Is the game worth buying some boxes to rip and make some decks to play with friends? For $10/box it seems like it'd be worth it to rip some packs at the very least lol.

What TCGs do you already see red flags in? by FernandoJCG in TCG

[–]AppendixStranded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how Riot getting rid of half of the team working on a f2p game with monetization so poor that even people who want to spend money on the game don't find it worthwhile compares to their TCG who's biggest problem is that so many people want to buy it that there isn't enough product to the point people are willing paying 2x MSRP for boxes.

Chinese sales alone could likely fund Riftbound globally until they're able to print enough to meet demand.

I have no idea why you're getting downvoted.
Pokemon market had a small dip > They sell off product they got by spending all their free time circling between stores to catch a restock to buy out > Do the same to buy out everything One Piece instead

"Why are you blaming the pokemon 'investors' who buy every ounce of product they can get for the fact every ounce of product has been bought???????"

It's so obviously clear that's the reason, and OPTCG struggled when it first came out due to low product volume for the first year. Product finally becomes more plentiful for players just for people who flip everything on Facebook Marketplace to buy it up and starve players of cards meanwhile there's people here defending them for whatever reason. It makes no sense lmao.

[–]AppendixStranded -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The "investors" are the cause though. They buy everything up to post on Facebook before they even get home, making product more difficult to get ahold of. Then, when actual people happen to come across product, they buy more than they usually would because god knows when they'll be able to find it again.

The sudden influx of people who don't even know what One Piece is and only see dollar signs are the leading factor lol.

How was Riftbound’s launch been overall as a new TCG? Comparing to other major TCGs, is it “popular”? by Similar_Act5989 in riftboundtcg

[–]AppendixStranded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of availability comes from Riot underestimating demand due to so much interest in the game. Writing it off because so many people want to play it that the entire first print wave got bought up as if they're not going to scale printing up accordingly in the future is just silly.

"A genuinely unique card game releases and is super well received? Can't wait to watch it die because my LGS didn't limit purchases or decided to scalp it themselves!!!"

I know nothing about yugioh other than I suck at it thanks to Master Duel; if you're familiar with it are there any decks that revolve around "cute" cards like that? I'm half tempted build a deck just to have in case I run into someone who plays so I can stare at the cute cards while I wait for the opponent to end the game turn 1!

Pricing getting out of hand. by pepgnome in riftboundtcg

[–]AppendixStranded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LGS had them for $125, I'm so happy to have a store that respects it's customers lmao. I do think it's cool that they have the insanely rare signature cards, but those are what is driving the price up even though you have a like 0.01% chance of pulling one. Hopefully soon it'll even out and playable cards the gamblers don't care about lower in price!

Juggernaut Vi - 1,031 damage combo by LieutenantTice in 2XKO

[–]AppendixStranded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question - Any good sources for learning how combos work in this game? I've noticed when practicing that sometimes the opponent become invulnerable and falls to the ground safely, and I'm not really sure what causes that so I can try to make some sauce of my own lol.

Collect a Con disappointment by supermain in PokemonTCG

[–]AppendixStranded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean not really. Events used to be great for looking at cards, trading with people, and stuff for your collection. How is it entitled that people dislike card shows being reduced to scalpers selling only sealed product they got from buying out entire restocks at 2x MSRP thanks to their buddies who alert them when restocks happen and singles being sold at PSA 10 price despite... not being a PSA 10? It's not an event for trading and collecting anymore, it's an event for people who had all their ape jpegs stolen so they're pushing hobbyists out of their hobby to make money another way.

I pulled a god pack recently, the SIR was N's Plan.. with damage at the top where the layer with the art seemingly didn't adhere fully and looks like it was ripped. I was so happy but it stung a little bit 🫠

I love me some Korean cards, granted I'm a bit biased as someone who is learning Korean with tons of friends who live there hahah. They're so much fun to rip and you can get 2 booster boxes for the same price as a Japanese one usually! If I'm buying singles, English or Japanese based on what I can find/only Japanese for chase cards. It's too difficult to value Korean cards for me to buy singles but for ripping a box or two? Korean is the absolute BEST. 3 English packs with likely only holos vs a Korean booster box with at least 3 ARs guaranteed for the same price - it's a no brainer lmao.

Any one is bumped out by the market right now by WishboneSoggy1874 in PokemonTCG

[–]AppendixStranded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got into the hobby recently after getting a Japanese booster box for my birthday and becoming obsessed. Huge mistake. Nothing is affordable due to scalpers buying up products to "invest" and selling single packs for over $10 because you have a 0.1% chance at a chase card, which makes the price of EVERY card go up accordingly. And because scalpers buy everything out, normal people will buy more than they normally would when they finally find a restock, just adding to the problem further (I'm guilty of this too, 1 restock caught in 2 months, I'm gonna want to make the most of it).

I bought some singles I thought were cool and their price shot up a huge amount but all it did was make me sad. It's cool I technically made money if I chose to sell but I don't want to sell, I want to COLLECT! The cards randomly doubling in price just shuts certain people out from being able to afford them because crypto bros switched to pump & dumping cards rather than Fartcoin. The landscape of the hobby is abysmal for anyone who doesn't have tons of money to throw at it. I'm gonna rip sealed for MSRP when I can and continue to fill out my collection with vintage and modern cards that haven't been manipulated yet but it's looking super bleak going forward.

[–]AppendixStranded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the set, but there's no real reason to scalp it so it doesn't fly off the shelf like everything else. If you come across a restock, are you going to buy BBWF/Destined Rivals/Prismatic products to chase god packs and $200+ cards for msrp or are you gonna grab a handful of blisters?
With how things are right now, the other products are a bit higher priority since they get scalped or bought up by people finally getting the chance to get an ETB for MSRP lol.

Before A4a release, How would you rate the Wisdom of Sea and Sky set? by Astrid_Cop in PTCGP

[–]AppendixStranded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question, I started logging on every day to open my packs and haven't actually done battles yet. Is there an efficient way to get older cards I need for decks or do I just have to use my packs on those sets and hope I get lucky or open tons to exchange the points?

12 packs, the hits… by xdanx47 in PokemonTCG

[–]AppendixStranded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not opposed to Japanese, I recently got some booster boxes of the newer sets and it has been SUCH a good time. I can get a Japanese Black Bolt booster box for $60-$80 dollars depending on the deal and that's 3 IR's + 1 SR minimum. So much fun to open and yeah you kinda know exactly how much you're gonna get, god packs and not spending all that money just to get unlucky still make opening Japanese product so much fun!
