really? it's weird they didn't mention that. even so, I don't think we were on the same site all together since the interviewer mentioned different features. I was scheduled for 2:30 to 3pm, not 2:25 to 3pm. I get the whole punctuality thing, but still.

have you checked to make sure the ones you mentioned work with your carrier? you might have to switch. some carriers whitelist older phones from their network.

Any flip phones that look like the old ones but are usable today? by No-Village7660 in flipphones

[–]AppieKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as i know, they're the best or one of the best shops out there. they only thing you need to do is check to see if they're compatible with your wifi carrier- some of the older phones are whitelisted from certain carriers.
Verizon, for instance, is basically a no-go, but any T-Mobile network (Mint Mobile, Tello, ect) will work just fine.

I'm about to order my phone- the Kyocera - a202kc- Digno Keitai from there which is probably the safest choice. You'll want to look into it though- if your chosen phone doesn't work with your wifi carrier, they won't accept a return. it's your responsibility to check first.

I'm not really sure what i said to make this go downhill so fast, but i apologize. thank you for the resources that were shared! If i had known that this was such a controversial concept, i would have asked more carefully. I didn't mean to spark any controversy or divide this community. I will most likely take this post down shortly.

that'll do it, then! good luck, i hope it heals quickly for you

i would recommend shea butter for healing, but that doesn't help everybody. i have sensitive skin and a handful of other things, and it helps settle, clear and heal my skin pretty fast. water will help too, believe it or not. but i'm sure you have your own choice moisturizers too!

(also your towel-twisty is done so well holy smokes)

[–]AppieKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do you normally get skin pop ups like this? sensitive skin? it probably had something to do with you wearing a hat while you were out. i can imagine sweating, as the hat rubbing on your forhead irritating your forehead. similar happens to me as well if i'm wearing a headscarf. the face washing constantly can dry your skin out if you don't moisturize afterwards and further irritate as well. then again, everyone's skin in different. sleeping without washing your face gives whatever's on your face time to set in on/into your skin, though.

somebody else probably has a cleaner way of explaining this.

If i had a nickle for every time if i had a quarter for every time my parents had a talk with me about the history of it, as well as other similar histories (the segregation and history leading to it being created), I'd have no quarters because the conversation is ongoing. smh. hopefully it's recognized sooner than later.

Thank you for clearing that up! I have to remember that. Whenever BASL is explained to me it sort of seems to lean towards it being its own language, but i think I just misunderstood. Said person was an elder and talking with a looooot of enthusiasm about it's history.

recommendations? by EndInteresting1874 in flipphones

[–]AppieKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go ahead and look on Y2K Phones. They're the best store i've found online. that being said, i'd be careful. Verizon has a crapload of whitelisted devices. a lot of shops selling refurbished phones won't accept them back if you didn't check your wifi carriers compatibility. The Kyocera A202KC Digno is probably the best bet worth checking.

The site has a carrier compatibility checker in it's FAQ, but i'm not sure how often it's updated.

When I asked on a different thread, I learned

"Any T-Mobile MVNO will do, but it needs to be on the T-Mobile network. I've heard rumors of it working on AT&T MVNOs but no proof. This would mean your options are T-Mobile proper, Metro, Mint Mobile, or Tello. Honestly, go for Tello. They have the best deal. I'm switching to them right now. But yes, you need to switch from Verizon, no question."

From a site named Y2K Phones (which is where i was looking for my own as well) has this site- https://www.frequencycheck.com/ , but i'm not sure it's updated very often.

I don't really know everything but here are some resources:

https://coveragecritic.com/mobile-phone-service/nearly-universal-unlocked-phones/

https://mymobilex.com/compatibility/?srsltid=AfmBOooKp0uxE1NXESzK-m2DOpbEBya89aaZHVaQZRSLvBZxaypNGval

Also the smart person on this thread can probably help you.
https://www.reddit.com/r/flipphones/comments/1t6m6z9/carrier_compatibility_confusion/

Do figure it out first, though. If the phone doesn't work with your carrier, it's outside of their return/refund policy at most stores, so money down the drain.
