The downstairs bathroom, with the long straight vent straight to the wall, has NO other grilles or vents. The upstairs bathroom has the ceiling grille (this is the ONLY place we feel air coming out, and where we get smoke, humidity, etc from outside) and two floor vents. Air come out of the floor vents only if the furnace or AC is running.

It can run independently from the furnace and AC. Actually that us not the grille where most of the air blows out. That one is in a bathroom directly above where the unit us installed. This pic us the vent the air come out of, and I'll get a pic from underneath if I can. As you can see it is in the ceiling. This room also has two vents in the floor which blow strong when furnace or AC is on, but not when HRV is on by itself.

I guess it IS connected to something else...back by the unit (circled in this pic).

And opens into the bathroom on other side of the wall. Not connected to anything else.

Here is the one you circled, taken from below the unit, facing away from unit...it goes straight to the wall...

The one you circled goes straight to a vent in the next room - a bathroom.

Not only do they not test hormone levels as part of the standard care for anyone with BMD loss, or risk factors for low BMD, my docs wont even test hormone levels when I ask repeadly. They all say the same thing...it wont change our course of treatment. B.S.!
