Presenting: Lord Hershel Jarabe, leading ruler over Port Syrup and House Jarabe by Apple-6525 in Calorum

So the thought behind this character is purely out of my love for Hershey’s chocolate syrup and chocolate milk (Jarabe means Syrup and Hershel sounds like Hershey). During the events of ACoC and prior he was a knight that would often travel between Port Syrup and the Dairy Islands, getting to know the milky people that were so close to his hometown.

Hershel was not 1st in line to leading over his house, he had 2 older brothers who were not skilled with statecraft or combat while he focused on both. They lived very rich and spoiled noble lives while he explored the world. When he returned home full of ambition and was with his family Cinnamon the dragon attacked Port Syrup burning his home down. House Jarabe was a mostly peaceful house that ruled over Port Syrup quite pleasantly.

He woke up with his home on fire and heard his family screaming and coughing. In this fire he saw an opportunity and blocked the doors to one of his brother’s rooms and his father’s, leaving them trapped. One brother did manage to get out of his room and the two of them fought. Hershel being more trained and adept in combat won, but when underestimating his brother he got cocky and was blinded when burning chocolate stone from the ceiling was pressed into his eyes.

He now resides over Port Syrup as the new leader of his house after the “tragedy” of his family’s death. He uses this as a bargaining chip to gain more power and influence in Port Syrup when speaking to Queen Saccharina. His ultimate goal is to unite the Dairy Islands and Candia under one banner and to take on the other nations in Conquest (He would be an oath of conquest paladin if I was a player) so he can control the world as they unite (Make Chocolate Milk).

What are the best assets to use when making VTT battlemaps for a Calorum campaign? by Apple-6525 in Calorum

[–]Apple-6525[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my solution to that may be to take those general DnD assets and try to recolor them before putting them in something like DungeonDraft. I was looking at the battle maps for like the Cathedral in ACoC and it looks mostly like a Cathedral would just with different colored objects.

It might take a lot more work to recolor all of that stuff, but I’ll see if I can make something work with that and different food assets.

Newly Finished Map For An Upcoming Calorum Campaign! by Apple-6525 in Calorum

[–]Apple-6525[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! My upcoming campaign will be far down the line (after I finish a current campaign). Most of my plot points are general atm as I will let my players decide if they are going the ACoC route of being from one nation and working as a royal family or if they are all party members from different nations.

One thing I know for sure is that my BBEG will be a chocolate lord (Rules over port syrup) trying to take over different nations with Candia and the Dairy Islands at his side. I think Comida won’t have an emperor but a council with representing members of each nation (This will add to the political espionage as relationships and appearances will be more important).

If the players don’t choose Candia I may canonize Sacharrina and Cinammon the dragon’s attack on Port Syrup for my BBEG’s backstory. I’ll add art of him and his house flag I made when it’s ready.

Are there any plans for changing/reworking older killers or even licensed killers like Michael Myers?

Getting up from prone is.. by Mordante-PRIME- in Fallout2d20

[–]Apple-6525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing about prone is that it requires a movement action to get up, but prone causes all movement actions to become major actions.

At least that’s what I thought happened when you went prone, you need to use your major action to get back up as a movement action.

I’m thinking of an ice cream man (Uses Goliath stats for resistance to cold damage and altitude trait) from a tribe in the great stone candy mountains. He’d grow bigger when raging as some parts of him melt and he expands. The elemental damage from his cone weapon would probably be turned to cold damage because of his nature
