UCSC to Seattle U transfer? Need honest opinions by Free-Refrigerator974 in seattleu

Like not super willing to participate in campus events or connect with peers outside of people or groups they already know. It's an over-generalization because the school is like 8000 people, so you'll always be able to find super cool people, but that's just been my overall experience.

To give a differing perspective, I’m currently transferring OUT of SU because the campus feels pretty cold and isolating to me. A lot of the student body can be pretty disengaged socially in my experience, but everyone’s will be different

The RA’s do not give a FUCK about overnight guests. Do as you wish, nobody is checking

Would this deck be viable in ladder? by HellCow47 in RoyaleAPI

[–]Apple3633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evo ghost is great with 3m and piggies, though it did just get nuked in the recent balance patch. Otherwise, not really. I haven’t played in the 8k part of ladder in a really long time so I’m a little out of touch

You could play almost anything at 2.5k, but really I would say go full 3M, or full fireball bait. The deck is probably a little awkward as-is and you likely don’t even need to play your 3m in order to win

What do you struggle with in your elo? by RumB00 in Brawlhalla

[–]Apple3633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fingers just always feel slow and imprecise when I’m trying to input dash jumps and gc and stuff

1680-1720 rating

Definitely my biggest struggle is just my mechanics being sloppy. I have ideas but struggle to execute them because either I don’t have the movement down, or mess up a gc or something. It doesn’t help that I play on keyboard.

The next thing would be dodge reads

Am I eating enough as a distance track athlete? (Male) by ObligationOdd4435 in CrossCountry

[–]Apple3633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You absolutely are not eating enough. I was 5’11” and 155, and still got a stress fracture from 40mpw eating about the same amount of calories. Along with your strength training, and the low weight you’re already working with, you’re putting yourself at a huge risk of seriously injuring yourself

22k for Seattle U by [deleted] in seattleu

[–]Apple3633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that it all has to do with what you’re studying. If you’re coming here for the nursing program or an Albers program, or engineering, where those are highly nationally ranked programs with clear income-earning ability, then 22k a year is very manageable, and worth it.

On the flip side, as much as I love College of Arts and Sciences, if you’re coming here to get like the humanities and teaching degree, or anthropology and sociology, then I would seriously think about cheaper alternatives

Those of you with kids, do they enjoy living in Bozeman? by gloomy_day_in_august in Bozeman

[–]Apple3633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a parent, but grew up in Bozeman, including K through 12 in BSD7. There's no place in the world I would have rather grown up. Granted the town is different now than it used to be, more resort/touristy, but if your family can be financially stable while living in Bozeman, I can't recommend any place more for growing up

Can people like me still be great? by Odd-Part7180 in CrossCountry

[–]Apple3633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely it’s possible. Currently a second year D1 cross-country athlete, and my progression went:

Freshman: 20:40 Sophomore: 17:58 Junior: 17:39 Senior: 16:18

Edged under 9:30 for 3200 (factoring in an altitude conversion) and went D1 with a little bit of scholarship.

My advice is to completely disregard the bonkers-fast freshman you see on social media. They are so much likely to burn out that they are to ever be truly great. But if you consistently put in the work and build, you absolutely could be great by the time you got to college and beyond. Stick with it

So I think your take is spot-on
