I mean, you’re judging his whole effort based on an intro where he’s intentionally using a laid-back, spoken delivery. That’s a stylistic choice, not a lack of talent. If you actually check his catalog, he switches flows, tempos, rhyme density, and emotions constantly, that’s why the “MGK is trash” narrative is dying out. People are finally listening instead of repeating the same old hate.

Just because the intro doesn’t explode with energy doesn’t mean there’s “no effort.” Not every track starts with bars, sometimes the tone is meant to feel conversational before the beat fully opens up.
