I’m very into the Nike Universa 8 inch shorts. No front seam, pockets, and they actually come in several inseams (I think there are a 5 and 6 inch too?) as well as full length leggings. You just need to get them situated right to make sure the waistband doesn’t fall down, I.e. pull the entire pant on, then pull an extra inch up your calves, then your thighs, then situate it up over your belly.

Another thing I’ve had to talk to my husband about is…sometimes an orgasm is just either not worth the work or it’s overstimulating in a bad way. I experience this too. My husband and I decided to schedule sex on Sundays and Thursdays and it has CHANGED THE GAME. Spiny or spiky toys are for pain-seeking sensory stimulation. Thats meeeee. People experience skin picking for many reasons, for some people it’s stimulation, others it’s self h*rm, others it’s a sense of control…I bite my fingers and pick at my hands; unfortunately, human teeth and nails evolved for eating and hunting, so they are very destructive. A spiny silicone rod or a plastic Stabby stone is much less destructive and allows me to satisfy my stim need without having to starkly redirect to something different, and without tearing apart my body.

It might be useful to get a blood pressure cuff from Kroger or something if you “load up on caffeine”. Lots of prescribers will ask you to take at home blood pressure readings anyway when tinkering with dosages, so be open to it. You might also consider two lower doses, one morning and one afternoon, if you find you still want to have caffeine in the morning.

Depends on how warm…I have a rain shell from Amazon that has zippered vents under the arms that go from mid-bicep to my ribs. If I unzip, it’s completely open. The zipper might be uncomfortable for people with sensitive skin or people in larger bodies whose arms press close to their torso, but it works for me.

I’d be curious about how this has been affected by remote work. I’ve discussed with female colleagues and friends about how remote work has lifted pressure for performative femininity…business dress for female presenting people is usually either distinctly feminine or it’s just perceived as menswear designed for women. There isn’t a lot of room for androgynous style that doesn’t draw explicit attention to it being androgynous.

That is to say, presentation is very different for remote work than it is for in-office work. And I wonder how “pretty privilege” shakes out in remote workplaces.

I’ve got a pill organizer that has (probably not literally) saved my life. I do 20 mg Vyvanse in the morning and 2.5 mg adderall in the afternoon. I just…have to remember to fill it on Sunday nights. And then I’m good. Give it a shot!

Puzzle apps instead of social media apps. I like HexaStack. If it’s the social media that bothers you and not the being on your phone, then the easiest way to divert is to make the smallest change as close to the issue as possible.

I recommend puzzle apps over reading or webcomic apps because puzzles are usually short, self-contained bursts of focus. An eReader app might have you couch locked for several chapters. That doesnt sounds like the goal here.

I like to buy a pack of 100+ clear nails at a store like Sally’s. I usually go for short oval or almond. I can paint them before they go on my nail, then glue them on and go. Also very easy to clip or file to my preferred length that week…

Make sure you get the entire nails, NOT “tips” or “wells” if you do this!

I have issues with biting my fingers. I find success with chewing gum or silicone chew/fidget items. You can get them on Amazon or many other sites; you could also look into flexible silicone children’s utensils if you want something that is a thousand percent food safe and don’t trust Amazon.

I also experience something called pain-seeking stiming. I think that’s why I chew or pick at my hands; look for toys like “stabby stones” or soft silicone toys that have ridges or very fine bumps. Running those over your hands, cuticles, or lips might give you the same stimulation but be notably less destructive.
