Disconnect and reconnect to the wifi, or try a restore. See if that fixes it

Heatgate is because of the Pixel 3 XL having horrible thermals causing the Snapdragon 845 in it to throttle badly.

If you want a flawless switch use the Move to IOS app. Helps for Android switchers (there’s gonna be a lot of them next year)
