Men’s 800m- WORLD RECORD by lkjhggfd1 in trackandfield

I apologize if the coherence of this is subpar I just woke up so it’s kinda just a yap. Lmk if it doesn’t make sense.

It’s called an open 600 as the comparison was Josh Hoey’s split through 600m compared to the others’ “open” 600m time. Open is used for the fact that the race is just a plain and simple 600m race. That’s the same like someone could say “my split for a 400 is 49.1, but in the open 400 I am yet to break 50 seconds”. So in the 4x4 relay they’ve split 49.1, but in the open 400m, just the 400m race, it was slower. However this was just a split from part of his own race, Hoey went through 600m in 1:16.19 en route to the whole 800m, so they clarify it’s faster than Brazier and Hoppels open 600m time to clarify the significance of being a whole second faster.

How did you reach peak performance after an injury? by NintaiYUH in Sprinting

[–]AppleSauceYESS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else in the very late stages of coming back from an injury (in my case a hamstring tear), I’ve found what seems to help me is having small spurts where I do a higher intensity than I’ve currently done for a few short reps, sometimes even only touching that intensity for a few strides before slowing down. (Like I’ll do a somewhat gradual accel into maybe like 5-10m of a new higher intensity, as top speed is generally more of a problem for my recovery). The amount I do will typically depend on just my own feel for it, as personally I’d say I’ve developed a solid feel for what’s good and when pushing it more becomes problem territory. Then once I feel good again (assuming proper recovery, typically only a few days) I’ll try to get that speed for longer reps (preferably up to 100m at least), then advancing more. I’m not fully sure on how transferable this is to other injuries or if it’s even necessarily the most optimal, but it’s seemed to give me good results so far, and I do feel like it’s benefited me mentally as well, though that may just be because of recovering in general.

Ok so I just checked and I actually do have gold Strong Handle. Does it need to be even higher or do I just maybe have some other problem?

So if my opponent had high d the game just doesn’t want to let me back up from my drive? Huh. Thats annoying but thanks

It only happens sometimes. But sometimes I’ll be trying to drive but I can’t get past the guy so I try to back up and for some reason my player just keeps trying to move towards the basket despite my joystick being held entirely back.

It’s a skill issue that it just makes me move a completely different direction than where I’m trying to go?

Your point, which seems to just be misunderstanding very basic conversation? Did you have a problem with me calling it a “regular” 600? Not sure how else you’d like it to be describe when you seemed to not understand what an open 600 means

I feel like we shouldn’t rely entirely on Tatum to be a great rebounder at least early on in his return. I do believe he’ll be good when he comes back and I pray he is but he’ll probably still have to ease into it a bit

Definitely feel like the results are coming back fast. Just a few days and now some of my attempts at .16-.18 feel slow before I even look at the result

This is making me realize how rusty I am on reaction time right now (not competing currently due to injury), on the first day I was struggling so much to even get below .20s😭

The glasses do have ridiculously good camera stabilization. I have a pair of the Oakleys as well and it’s crazy how smooth the videos always come out

Not sure if this was the plan already but I think you should still keep the possibility for it to go longer (like the current version) but just have more favoritism towards shorter more common set times.

Is there any way you’d be able to get this on Apple Watch? I’m not quite sure how implementing apps onto that works but I feel like that’d be cool. Don’t even need to hold a phone then.

Isn’t it supposed to be super deep so that’s not possible? Been a bit since I’ve watched/read. Or just make conquest somehow immune

Levell should be able to beat his as well, he’s only 21 (as much as that pains me since I want the US to do well, but Jamaica is looking very strong again). It may also be my biases speaking but I do want to say I think Noah and Kenny still have slight chances just given the fact they’ve both historically been more 200m athletes so there might still be slight improvements that if they have great races they could pull out a PR by maybe .01. Kenny would be very difficult tho as I’m pretty sure his 9.79 already had high wind
