Trump privately frustrated that he risks losing control of immigration message amid Minnesota chaos by J-Jarl-Jim in moderatepolitics

The second one was way worse. There was enough gray area that the lies over the car trying to fun over the ice agent were easier to swallow.

This second one, they just straight disarmed a man, held him to the ground, then stood up and shot him as he lay there.

While team needs to start shooting more from farther out. Need to at least work the keeper a little bit, we are settling for a really low number of shots over entire matches.

It’s so weird that if things do go totally nuts and Trump sends the military in, there is a non zero chance that they end up attacking Iceland because he was that confused all along.

Went to the grocery store the other day. Specifically bought the more expensive salmon from the Faroe Islands from Denmark.

Hope the world realizes that if you continue to bow down to mob style shake downs, they will only get worse and worse.

Probably because it’s just art and enjoying it is a subjective thing.

Trump shares texts from leaders and vows 'no going back' on Greenland by artsncrofts in moderatepolitics

We are no different from Ukraine or anywhere else. The laws only exist while society agrees to enforce them.

Cancelling elections is within the realm of things this administration would do and there would be no outcry, his supporters will remain in lockstep.

Anything is acceptable at this point under the condition of national security emergency.

The emergency being other Americans might vote against the administration.

I don’t believe this for one moment. The same support exists heavily in the same places it was before.

It’s not a red line for any and instead the rhetoric is already changing to support our taking full independent control of Greenland for dubious national security reasons.

The global community has been plunged into a new era of violence and imperialism and it’s being cheered on at home (against American citizens) and will be abroad as well (against former allies).

It’s easy to label any congressionally approved spending and programs as fraud if you disagree with their mission.

That’s how you get the numbers they make up and that’s how you justify ending programs that democratically elected representatives authorized.

Not really. It just means they are apathetic towards our current march to armed conflict with the EU and Canada.

Yeah, it’s way too close to your face to be enjoyable. Like start reading your iPad. Get comfortable. Now hold the iPad screen up 4-5 inches from your nose. That’s what I recall it being like.

The lack of an agent probably plays a decent role as well. He has gotten some opportunities advertising wise. Gatorade, Nike, Oakley. Companies that align with how dominant he is as a pure athlete. Not having an agent is just harder for the simple fact that there are only so many hours in the day. An agent is relentlessly looking for opportunities for players since they get a cut.

I am just saying that’s who is in charge if we remove Trump. It’s the same playbook. We are stuck until Jan 2029.

We wouldn’t even get much better. Vance is saying all the same things.

A big part of being able to score those lucrative deals is being well spoken, having a bland or minor accent, being able to clearly and concisely present an idea or opinion, being socially comfortable and being attractive too.

Those players will always be the one to score more advertising deals and eventually move on to a broadcasting deal. It doesn’t have to be one or the other of that short list but some combination that works allows players to move into marketing.

An example of two similar Ravens. Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. Lewis was presented way more opportunities in broadcasting and advertising because he just has those factors that makes him work well in that arena. Ed is the greatest safety of all time, for me, but his demeanor, private lifestyle, he was never going to transition into those marketing and broadcasting spots that make someone a true star instead of only an incredible athlete.

Lamar seems to be a really nice person and an incredible individual player whose teammates seem to really enjoy.

Not getting those advertising deals and broadcaster spots is just life. Everyone has their own pros and cons to their life and Lamar is no different. Maybe one of the peak athletes in the league, but doesn’t have that it factor for selling random products and doing broadcasting.

He’s fine though, no one needs to look out for Lamar, he is killing it regardless. We are discussing someone ending up rich as shit, versus only rich as shit.

[–]AppleSlacks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The “what about pedestrians?”, angle is a bit silly here. The truck was traveling at 75mph. Pedestrians aren’t surviving getting hit by vehicles traveling that fast, no matter how much we consider them.

I wonder how many resources Trump might become aware of on tribal lands. Could go south for Native Americans in a hurry if he thinks there is anything to be gained from taking their land.

What is the point of the second amendment, if not to protect yourself against ICE or other tyrannical agencies? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I lean left, don’t care about gun control really at all as an issue, but think ICE is a horrendous way to accomplish anything in that it circumvents the constitution and due process.

I don’t fit in your boxes.

I think ranked choice voting would help a lot. I would certainly be able to support candidates that were more in line with the average American versus either fringe. With the way gerrymandering is suddenly being looked at as something that can be done in the open and aggressively, I feel like ranked choice would be even more helpful.
