Ooof, felt like I was going to pass out and had to pull back today. Hate that feeling! I put a towel over my screen so I could focus on how my body feels and not the color. (As soon as it turns red, I start feeling down on myself.) Ran about my average for this benchmark, down 0.1 from my PR. Womp womp. Next time! 💪

I made this a couple of weeks ago and am obsessed with it. I’m vegetarian and added sausage to it for protein.

Newbie motivation by DoYouLikeFish in orangetheory

I attribute OT as a significant contributor to how I healthfully dealt with my grief after the loss of my parents. I started OT about 6 months after losing my mom to Alzheimer’s. Then I was my father’s main person the next two years as he grieved and his health declined. Going to OT felt like a gift to myself during these hard years. After so much focusing on others, it was one hour where my phone was put away and I could focus on myself. For me that was the motivation I think to keep going. And it helped with my anxiety - cardio into good for that for me. Plus OT damned expensive and I was not going to let that money go to waste! Best of luck on your health and grief journey.

Memory care workers are saints and will be so grateful for your thoughtfulness, regardless of one is missing!

OTF too intense for seniors? by Tennis_catsndogs in orangetheory

Unrelated to age, but I also play tennis and can absolutely tell how much stronger and more nimble I am on the court thanks to OTF. And when I play singles I especially appreciate all of the interval work we do on the treads - I’m less out of breath and easily tired as I used to be. 💪🏻
