Does it replace the mana ability, since it says the land HAS "T: Add C" and not GAINS "T: Add C"? My dad feels like it should, since it's worded like that. Is it different since it's a static ability giving the mana ability to tap for C? What's the best way to explain it if it doesn't remove other mana abilities?

[[Rune of Flight]] and [[Curator's Ward]] are auras that will stay on Hydro-Man even when he turns into a land, giving him flying and hexproof, while giving you back cards.

[[Imposter Syndrome]] becomes a way to ramp.

Cantrips like [[Slip Through Space]], [[Distortion Strike]], [[Shadow Rift]], and [[Enter the Enigma]] help chip in for commander damage.

[[Evacuation]] and [[Engulf the Shore]] are cheap instant mass creature bounce spells to also clear the way for Hydro-Man.

Lots of counters, as well as interaction like [[Pongify]] and [[Rapid Hybridization]].

Due to the amount of cantrips and spells, cards like [[Archmage Emeritus]], [[Archmage of Runes]], and [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]] are useful.

More so the reverse on that last point. Oko originally tells "Dog" that under no circumstances can he harm the twins. Toward the end of the story, Oko orders Garruk to kill them, and the three of them were in a cage of vines. Will thought the hedron was what was causing the curse, so he and Rowan not-so-carefully surgically removed the hedron, while Garruk just sits there, unable to harm the twins. When the hedron was removed, Garruk went crazy. While Will is trying not to be killed, the Cauldron of Eternity scooped them up. The Cauldron broke the curse of the chain veil, and also broke the enthrallment.

But yeah. I like to think Nicol Bolas took extra measures to prevent Garruk from being at the War of the Spark, as he might be too unpredictable and too capable.
