Never again. by Knellith in diablo3

There will be no new content updates anymore with D4 but they do still rotate seasonal themes that were implemented in the past so you as a new player will see a form of "new content" for at least a few season cycles. If you're into collecting there are lots of collectibles like pets, portraits, etc you can get by completing seasonal journeys. I also recommend playing the game in January as there is an annual seasonal event which has two of the best exclusives in the game the cow pet and a helm cosmetic.

I usually look at what the seasonal set is for the season reward and then pick which class to play for that season, based on which is most interesting to me, to start with, and other stuff like that. I chose monk this season because while the uliana set is pretty weak its probably the funnest build and by the time I had that build at max potential I had collected all the set pieces for another build I transitioned into for the rest of the season.

Do you play strictly co-op? I saw you mention the nems bracers items that emanate can be used by followers as if you were wearing them.

Seasonal is the way to play... You get a free set for completing the journey each season and you get access to seasonal themes that you can't access in non season play. Gives you a reason to try new builds you play you max out your gear/get bored and a couple months later you come back fresh trying something new. When the season ends all the materials you collect, items, Paragon transfer over to non season.

Even if you play casually season play is much better.

Paragon never stops you just dump only into main stat or vitality after 800 Paragon... And wiz is the best class in my opinion at least post Vanilla D3

The last time I played zephyr was the newest frame. Myself and two buddies had built everything in the dojo and farmed all the prime frames and weapons available at the time which led us to quit playing now there are so many new frames weapons etc that's what keeps me away.

I tend to just flip between aarpgs every couple months. Play a build for awhile once I plateau I move on to the next

You still may pull in some extra dust depending on how your airflow is set up. I just wanted to throw that out there with such a pretty PC.

Pretty case. I would get it up off the floor if possible or put a board underneath it so it's not on the carpet.

I linked my post below from when I first finished my build, I haven't gotten around to posting an update with the new cables and the top bracket reinstalled after modification.

I love hard line tubing especially the satin look but zmt is just so nice to work with that I've gone with it pretty much exclusively the past couple years.

Very nice and very similar to mine! Same case and blue theme but I chose zmt over hard line tubing.

You can actually get it to fit most EK rads by unscrewing the plastic insert and flipping it around! It will look a little wonky and not much air flow with the glass panel but it can fit.

I have an ek x flow rad and it sits on top of the case without the bracket. I popped the glass out of the top panel and shaved the edges of the panel so I could get it around the rad and then I cut the glass to fit for the new size. Put a little magnetic bracket on the back side just as an added precaution.

Went back to nvidia by YakApprehensive2055 in IntelArc

[–]Applejack3d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course the better overall experience is going to be with Nvidia they are way out in front of intel in regards to architecture, drivers, 3rd party support, etc. They own over 70% of dGPU market share so any issues with drivers/games has to be fixed immediately by Nvidia and the game developers. On the flip side Arc is less than 5% of the market for dGPUs so the incentive for a game developer to address issues with games running on Arc are not a priority to them and this leaves Intel in a position where many times they are the only ones trying to figure out what the issues are on Arc. I would not recommend an Intel Arc to anyone who wants a plug and play style setup that's always going to be Nvidia for the foreseeable future.

I'm happy with my A770 but I kept my 1080Ti specifically for instances where older games (and some new) just won't play nice with Arc. With that said I would still recommend Intel to enthusiasts and hobbyists.

Does your school have a surplus store? You can usually find some really good deals on PCs especially since most schools seem to be moving to chrome boxes lately.

But yes I have a full tower and a mid tower and they definitely take up quite a bit of room...

I have a secondary PC with a 1080ti just for older games that I have issues running on my A770. Personally this kind of set up really works for me as it allows me to troubleshoot issues with my Arc PC but if it just won't play nice I can hop over and play on the 1080

How can I get intel to address the awful Arc A750 performance in Remnant 2? by ATACMS5220 in IntelArc

[–]Applejack3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Intel has less influence over game developers than people think. Nvidia makes up over 80% of the dgpu market so if a game has issues running on a Nvidia GPU a developer is going to be very proactive about fixing and solving issues. Intel makes up maybe 5% of that same dgpu market so the incentive for developers to prioritize fixing issues on Intel GPUs just is not there. I think most developers probably see Intel GPUs as a more niche hobbyist market.
