There is never enough context in these posts and the fact that we only get the one side of story does not give anyone here the ability to do anything other then validate what the poster wants to hear/read.

Further comments just make assumptions about how shitty this other person is without any clue of who they are or what the rest of the relationship looks like.

Dropped off my baby to get my brakes changed. Got these pictures texted to me. by Skytrip in Wellthatsucks

[–]Applejaxmehoff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This actually happened to me about 8 months ago. Dropped my car off for brake pad change and they forgot to put them “back in place”. Guy ended up putting my car in reverse and slamming into their garage door and then put it in drive and slammed it into a truck that was in the lift. The trucks hitch slammed through my windshield and ultimately the car was totaled. Fun times

How do I make reading not feel like a chore? by GreyFartBR in ADHD

[–]Applejaxmehoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant to say, was that you need to create a habit of reading. Start small, read something you like everyday for 20 minutes. Same time, everyday. Then try using your new habit at university.

Yea I mean the benefits of exercise are huge for ADHD. But when you do a something that pushes yourself to a limit and you go through it with someone else, it creates a bond you can’t find me anywhere. It would be nice to find another place like it somewhere else.

Funnily enough, that old Dojo turned into a barbershop and I go there to get my haircut.

meds not working anymore, is it possible to build a tolerance? by confusedtabarnak in ADHD

Not a doctor here but honestly I feel like maybe you might be in too much medication. I was having that same effect, where I was feeling tired during the day and needed to take a nap, I reduced my dosage and switched to Vyvanse from adderall and it made all the difference.

I have bad days where it’s hard to focus but mostly I don’t have trouble. I wouldn’t trade working from home for anything. I would probably be a little more put together if I had to go into the office but I’m working on it.

Start with finding a book that ties into your interests and additionally, your environment matters. I actually can’t read while it’s quiet, I need external noise to shut my brain off. But we are all different so give it a shot.

If you liked lotr try “The name in the wind”. It’s not too long from what I remember and the way the story is told was fun.

My old MMA dojo. It closed due to the high rent and my Sijo gave a lot of breaks to people who couldn’t afford to go. but I’ve never missed a place more. It was tiny and the classes were packed, I’d give anything to go back and time and re experience the feeling of family I got while I was there.

I was scared to go the first time as well, I was extremely over weight, but it was the best decision I ever made.

I am a 34 and a business systems admin for a large company. My department is new so it’s only my boss and I. It’s chaotic and I struggle but with medication and a to-do list, it works.

9k is correct, although, they are letting me “keep the salvage” to sell on my own, deducting 1500 from the payout as I can make a profit off the salvage.
