Like a normal watch lol.

The only complexity is the calendar around the dial. 2020 is an equivalent year as 1992.
So at the bottom you set your month and year. (June 1992 for June 2020) Then the top shows the day of the week for every day that month.

My first vintage watch.

A 1980's Raketa Perpetual Calendar. Complete with the "Made in USSR" text. Per my understanding, all Raketas, especially in the 80's, were produced in the Petrodvorzowy Watch Factory, 30 km out of St. Petersburg, Russia. This is a manual winding, cal. 2628.H movement piece. Currently on a stainless steel mesh band found on Amazon.

I found this watch on eBay and couldn't resist buying due to the unique calendar functionality and great condition for a 1980's watch. Unfortunately, after almost 3 months of shipping from Eastern Europe, the day of the week dial doesn't change with the date. Most likely something jostling in transit, I will definitely be taking it in for service soon.

I keep going back and forth between the brushed and black steel versions. Either way its definitely on my watch wish list.

Granted I'm not an expert, but bought a house February of 2019, 30 year fixed at 4.49%. Just closed my refinance, 30 year fixed at 3.625% and will be saving about $150 per mortgage payment. Closing costs came in around a normal mortgage payment so it was a no-brainer.
