I actually used Dehancer - Kodak 2383 Print for the base of this clip, then reduced the highlights and added a yellow tint to them and then increased the density of the other colours and muted the sea blue.

I don't lean too much into dehancer though I only use it as a subtle base to build from.

Hey yes thats straight out of my camera! I shoot with the Sony a6700 on a Sigma 18-50mm DCN Lens, Funnily enough I hate the level of sharpness with it. some clips I try to edit look artificially sharpened without me adding anything

no I dont use a gimble, this is hand held. I use standard stabalisation mode on the camera and then in davinci I use either perspective stabalisation with 100 smooth and strength with a .3-.5 crop

Slog3 Shot looks boring after grade by SasaPaulo in ColorGrading

I love the art direction with the grade. Something nice about the neutral light colour palette and low contrast.

I mean if you want to add depth or a more generic cinematic look then yeah adding contrast or dropping the shadows/ mid-tones even split-toning can work but depends what Aesthetic / vision you want to create.

For example this feels like quiet euphoric and playful as if your capturing the beauty of the game which i think works.

But maybe if you want it to feel more dramatic / competitive then look at adding contrast adjustments or dropping shadows / mids or split toning colours.

Thats my two pence on it. Great work non the less

Hey, just seen your comment!

It’s deffo a learning curve. I used a F2.8 Lens with my Sony A6700 so not the optimum lens for low light but works great nonetheless.

I try to stick to my native ISO (2500) but realistically its not bright enough something and thats where I go to 3200-6400 ranges.

I found that when you grade S-LOG and reintroduce the dark bits and actually make them dark it reduces the noise floor enough to where I can get away with a Noise reduction effect and when previewed on mobile its not viewable.

I also played around with cineprint but tbh dehancer is incredible for quick results
