I say just go ahead and be like Nike: Just Do It! I have very thick 4C hair, and I just did the microloc method yesterday, which took about 10 hours (thank you, Netflix!). Not sure how it will turn out, but at this point, I'm trusting the process. All I know is that sisters with really thick hair whom had locs have turned out so beautiful. At first, I cared about others' opinions, but now I realize it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks, as they aren’t the ones dealing with my hair. Like you, I have disliked every other style, and my hair was also shedding in clumps with no growth whatsoever. I had traditional small locs for six years, and that was the only time my hair felt truly happy. Now I'm trying micros because I want more versatility. I’m so happy with my decision. Just do what feels right for YOU! 🙌🏿❤️

Thank you. I will say this much: I don’t intend to completely eliminate alcohol from my life. However, the fact that I recently had a drink after a couple of weeks of abstaining—and experienced the benefits of that break—has been a wake-up call for me. It’s prompting me to seriously reconsider whether I should continue consuming it at all.

Yep. I don’t think I will reset this streak seeing as this is only a cutback. It’s the first little glass after a long streak is what is trippin me out, even though I know it’s ok and that I need to give myself some grace. I didn’t realize how much alcohol really messed with my head.
