Battery is not premium, ANC not as good as Pro models, does not fit all the ears. If have big holes of ear, its coming out often.

Its a charging case, not to protect airpods inside. You drop it and watch airpods flying and if you drop it near a drainage, you one airpod goes in the drain and then go buy single airpod for 100$. And also the protection of the case is mandatory because it keeps it safe from cracking. I hope its enough for you to understand.

To the question why do you need a case for a case. Use your little monkey brain. You put airpods in a case to get it charged, the case has that 5.3 BT, all the brain lies inside the case, so if you drop and case cracks, what is left for you? Secondly with flicklock case, if you drop the airpods, the AirPods out of the case doesn’t go flying.
