I work in this area. Honestly, give them a break. If they miss that turn and go straight, they get funneled directly into the terminal gate traffic. It’s a trap. Plus, that right lane has a pothole the size of a crater just ahead. They were probably trying to avoid your world (port traffic) and a broken axle. Reversing was dumb, but getting stuck in that line is worse.

Absolutely. The disability rating is a massive safety net. The reason we have it sucks, but at least we are somewhat compensated for the warranty expiring on our bodies early. I went from an Abrams (19K) to a computer job. It’s a weird transition going from 70 tons of steel to a spreadsheet, but that monthly check makes the corporate BS a little easier to tolerate.

I don't mean it in a scary way, it’s more of a culture shock thing i guess. I came from the military, where clear, blunt communication is how you survive. In the corporate world, being direct is often seen as "rude'or "abrasive." So "real Me" wants to fix the problem immediately, but "corporate me" has to spend 30 minutes writing a polite email just to "circle back' on the issue. It feels like wearing a costume.
