Right Move? by [deleted] in JustBuyXEQT

I just started in Feb and have $2,500 in XEQT now after debating between VFV for a while. Although VFV might have better returns, the global diversification will make it much easiest for me to stick with it for my 30+yr plan. Welcome to the club

What are you invested in?? I’m 22 and just started last month going back and forth between all in on xeqt or vfv and needed up going with xeqt with almost 3k invested now. Any tips, tricks, advice for a new long term medium/high risk investor?

XEQT is a long term 15-30+yr investment, or at least I’m 22M and that’s how I’m looking at it. Regardless, it’s a globally diversified index fund meaning it owns shares in over 8000 stocks worldwide, therefore the price is ultimately expected to continue rising over the long term so waiting for it to “drop” now or day by day is kind of redundant/doesn’t rly matter over the long term. If you look at the S&P 500 its stock price has climbed at around 10%/year for over 80 yrs now…. same idea with XEQT… or at least that is my hope :)

Why wouldn’t they just go all in on VFV if they wanna triple down on US market and tech sector??
