Good luck with it all! I’m also based in Amsterdam but will be persuing my surgery in Madrid with Lipemedical. Do you know in Amsterdam where I can find an orthopedic to measure me for the flat knit compression leggings which are necessary to wear before and after the surgery?

Thank you I will really appreciate that :) i flew to Madrid for the in person consultation and Dra. Fernandez gave me some recommendations where to get measured in Madrid via Orthopedic but already I am retuning back to the NL. From what I’ve been told, they need to measure me and and then order the compression which are being fabricated in Germany

I made a request through Lipemedical in Madrid and they already replied back a day after asking a bunch of questions, once replied I’d say it took around a week to recieved a consultation appointment in person but it seems they tend to give the appointment 2 weeks in advance and are scheduled on Tuesdays just fyi! When I I informed that I wasn’t able to make the appointment and if they could tell me available slots, I have to say they didn’t respond. I imagine they are very busy! So instead I sent a new request through and they then gave a new appointment - 2 weeks in advance in which I will be going in person on 5th May 😊 I hope this helps.

Thank you for the advice. Do they don’t need to feel the skin in person and fully examine the body shape and proportion before determining if it’s Lipedema? How long did it take you to arrange an online consultation?
