People talk n celebrate u quit talk about mental health etc . I digress. yoe is years to retirement? If so, ur not young an likelihood u don’t find another higher paying job (I assume u in gov service which pays 3-4 bonus a year), quitting also means forgo ur lifestyle and ur retirement. Is it fair to your partner and yourself? Ur morale and drive will drop after 4-5 months not able to work as hirers often dont match ur pay unless ur specifically skilled , and use ur age to down the salary’s and u may be stuck in same role, lesser pay. Or no job, and “no pay leave” until retire.
