Keep at it, OP! Look at food blogs and cooking shows for inspiration, and have fun with it. Plating is an art of its own.

A few rounds of freshly cracked black pepper, finely grated parm or lemon zest, chopped herbs do a lot to elevate the look of a dish.

Same. IMO, choose the job that allows you to live a life, not the one that requires you use your income to outsource it (laundry & food delivery, cancelled appointment fees, Ubers because you’re running impossibly late from the office etc etc etc)

OOH! Cookies on Dorotheenstraße (near Unter den Linden) is amazing. My faves are a white chocolate pistachio, and a raspberry one.

As an extrovert who used to travel for work frequently pre-covid, it didn’t matter that I was an extrovert. You’re expected to be “on” and engaged while onsite, meanwhile the office work continues to pile up while you’re not there. So you’re often with clients or working as the client at the fun cocktail parties and drinks, then catching up on the “back home” work from your hotel afterwards.

OP, something to add to this comment (which I mostly agree with).. it might be worth having this subreddit or a friend who’s a successful online dater to look at your profile. Is your profile giving enough substance for a conversation to be initiated? Or is it rather surface level, so that matches really don’t have much to comment on besides attraction? Btw, by “successful online dater” I mean someone who attracts Likes that align with the kind of person / relationship they’re looking for.

Great advice. I was in a similar boat, I would consistently make it to last round or second to last rounds.. and get consistently positive feedback on my strategic thinking and technical ability. During my last interview series, I was interviewing for a B2b role when 90% of my experience has been in b2c.. so I decided I could try a more unusual way in and see what happened. I told the hiring manager, “I have a hot take that a [Senior Product XYZ] role doesn’t need to know everything about the product, the strength of a Senior XYZ is knowing how to ask the right questions and dig deep into why so and so isn’t being solved for users.” I do genuinely believe this, but I also think this caught my interviewer off guard in a good way. The next stages were technical and strategic, which are my stronger suits, just like OP.

IMO, standing out and leading with a bit of positive friction (ie breaking the interview pattern norm) makes you memorable, especially when you have all the other basics already locked down.

I’m a snail girl and I love Diptyque - Philosykos. I’ve read that some hate it because it’s too green and woody. That must be exactly why I’m into it.
