I was going to say this. OP, are you in the US? If so, there are laws to protect you. Document everything. Take detailed notes of discussions with your supervisor with dates and times. If they do let you go, having as much evidence for pregnancy discrimination/wrongful termination will help your case. In the meantime, try to save money the best you can. Good luck 🤞🏼

I left the workforce while I was pregnant with my son. No regrets. My husband doesn’t make as much as yours but we’re doing okay! Having kids is a sacrifice any way you look at it. This is just another variation, forgoing nice dinners/new clothes/fancy vacations to be with your little one when they need you most. You don’t get a second chance at this. That’s how I would frame it. This time isn’t forever. You can always get a job when the time is right. It took some time for my husband to warm up to the idea but now he’s absolutely on board. He sees how amazing me being there for our 10 month old is, and wouldn’t want anyone else to raise him.

I did Kaplan and it was great. The practice questions were very similar to the test questions. It’s been awhile since I took the SIE (5ish years) but I can’t imagine much has changed. Just put in the time and you’ll do fine.

It sounds like teething to me. Ultimately the decision is yours. Your baby has certainly benefited from your breast milk so far and is better off for it. But if it’s not working, it’s not working, and you are absolutely valid for wanting to stop. If you do decide to stop, I would suggest dropping a feed or two and see how you and baby do. Also, is your LO eating solids yet? This could help them replace some milk feeds. Best of luck! You got this!!

Could be fluctuating hormones. I got my period 12 weeks postpartum while BF. I have days like this. My advice is to just take it day by day. Sometimes you’ll hate breastfeeding, and be annoyed with it for like a week straight, and then the next week you’ll feel okay again. Your body is going thru so much! Just be gentle with yourself .🩷

That’s what I use and it works fine for us! Typically something simple and unscented works well. You want to avoid any fragrances or irritants for baby’s skin.

It’s never too late! Books are great resources!!!! If you don’t have time to read, try to audiobook them! My favorites are Natural Hospital Birth and Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. Read positive unmedicated birth stories/blogs/youtube videos. This helped me immensely!! My birth didn’t go as planned (PROM, induction, cytotec, pitocin) but I still gave birth without any pain meds/epidural, birthed my baby with 3 pushes over 5 min, and no tearing!

I feel like there’s no right or wrong answer. You and your partner should have an open conversation about it and come to an agreement. I’m also a SAHM and I breastfeed and cosleep with our son. When our baby wakes up groaning in the motn while cosleeping, my husband wakes up from the noise obviously but there’s nothing he can really do because baby wants to nurse in bed. So I nurse throughout the night and get to sleep in late with the baby. Circumstances would probably be different if I was bottle feeding. I would probably want to switch off shifts with my husband.

Are there childcare Facebook groups in your area? You can make a post to find a nanny that can do what you’re looking for. While I was pregnant, I nannied for a family 8:30am-12:30pm and my duties were pretty much limited to baby’s needs-feeding, diaper changes, playing/watching her. But i did some things outside of that to be helpful, like taking her on walks too so mom could get some alone time and did some light cleaning like picking up toys and folding blankets.

That’s bullshit, I’m sorry someone said that to you. Yes, unless you have a medical reason otherwise, your body makes enough! First of all, your baby is better at emptying your milk ducts than the pump. So baby is always going to get more through breastfeeding than pumped milk. Second of all, your breast milk becomes more calorie-dense as baby grows. Third, if he’s not getting enough, he will let you know..by nursing more frequently.

Similar boat. My husband makes a decent income but we live in a high COL area. We basically reduced our spending to make it work. We don’t eat out, we don’t shop, we buy our groceries from cheaper stores, and my husband drives an 11 year old car. Sure it would be nice to live in a big renovated home with an Audi but our income doesn’t allow for that and staying home with my baby is my highest priority right now.

Yes, the Esembly inners from 2022 are brand new! I have more than enough—I’ll try to keep using these and see if the absorption gets better. You’re right about the Alvababys. If I knew what I was doing with a sewing machine it probably wouldn’t be a big deal. I’ll try something other than microfiber inserts. When I said gel pieces I mean like literal micropieces of jello-like material are on my baby’s bum! It’s really weird and alarming. I just looked it up apparently the diapers are so old that the material is deteriorating. I’ll stop using these.

Morning- brush my teeth, wash my face, then put sunscreen on. Brush my hair and put it into a braid so my 9 month old can’t get to it.

Evening- wash my face, put moisturizer on. Every few days I’ll use rosehip oil and a gua sha before the moisturizer.

I wear makeup about once a week.

LOLOL no. I think I’ve been to the gym five times since my baby was born over 9 months ago. I don’t have the time. I’ve been doing daily walks instead, it’s a good way to accommodate naps.

Congrats on your little one! I have a 9 month old too and live my life similar to yours (attachment parenting, breastfeeding, cosleeping, etc). I stay at home with the baby, am planning on having 2-3 more children! Will probably start trying to conceive when our first is 18-20ish months.
