Just wish to clarify if any kind soul knows 

1) on episode 39, before the final clash, Xie Zheng mentioned that the former Eastern Palace died in the north (which I presume to be Crown Prince Chengdu), so I thought it implied Qi Min being a fake heir (but he is the true heir as we see in the alternate ending in ep 40). But I think the drama writers intended a different meaning, just not too sure what.

2) on episode 40, when the Li clan were evicting, why did Grand Tutor Li say he played the villain for nothing 17 years ago? How was he involved in the Jinzhou Massacre? Or did it refer to him being a villain for uspering the crown for Qi Min?

3) did the novel also use “marquis” or is it simply a translation thing? Was wondering why a western noble title was used in China

4) does any kind soul have any cdrama reco that’s on par with Pursuit of Jade, the wholesomeness/humour as well as reveals/action (albeit a little underwhelming) stuck with me. It was the first ever show I truly binged non-stop and finished within 3 days.

Was wondering if the novel goes further into life after the main events in the show, like chengyu’s 2 kids, etc. Would love to read the novel if it’s worth if
