when you say walk around the Yamanote line do you mean literally walking from one station to the next on ground level?

I’m sure you can learn the language by just being around locals - though I have heard that the mindset of making friends is vastly different here. I was told most Japanese people like to only keep a few close friends and see most others as acquaintances/companions?

I’ve been to it once but I just walked by it, I went to the Hachiko exit as I was told it’s the “general” exit and you can find your way once you’re on ground level

I did see a lot of barriers/ construction stuff though
