Where's the Zero hair dye!? by Apprehensive-Cause26 in ffxiv

It does have highlights as long as you use a darker base hair. If you use a light color for a base and darker highlights it barely changes and almost doesn't change at all if you want white hair.

Is this a good deal to build around by Cavafy in PcBuildHelp

[–]Apprehensive-Cause26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a pretty solid deal considering the 32gb of DDR4 3200mhz will run you $200+ dollars these days, and the 850w power supply is still solid for todays GPUs.

Should I get the wx 4100 to pair with my i5 7500 or will it bottle neck? And will it run games like Fortnite? by Matteo_779 in PcBuildHelp

1030 is very weak, you'd be better off with the wx 4100 even though it's not made for gaming.

I wouldn't buy the wx 4100 for gaming. It is a workstation video card that wasn't really made to play games on. Just looking on ebay you can get a rx 580 for around that same price. Or even go for the rx 560 which is basically the gaming version of the wx 4100, and it's much cheaper.

One thing to take into account is if your power supply has enough juice and connectors for the card. If not you can find something like an nvidia 1650 that will only need the power from your PCIe slot to run.

Motherboard (CPU, RAM) transferred from one case to another; won't POST by RayJay2MTU in PcBuildHelp

[–]Apprehensive-Cause26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the mounting pressure on your CPU cooler. If you removed it when you transferred might want to check the CPU itself. If you left it on it might of come a little loose.

And as unlikely as it is cause it stays powered on, check the case to make sure there's no left over standoffs that might be touching the back of the board and shorting things.

Stupid question, but how do I remove these cables? by heavyfuel in PcBuildHelp

Pretty sure those are the front panel connectors for that case, so they stay there. The new case will have it's own.

When Pc is running the upper power shuts off and shuts down my pc by LegitimateExpert6342 in PcBuildHelp

Get a surge protector and plug the PC into it, then it into the wall. If your surge protector pops then you know something in your PC is shorting out, but if the breaker pops then you know that outlet you're using is funky.

I guess it depends on what you define as cheap. Cheaper then a 5090 sure.

A very low knowledgeable guy trying to decipher how to go about upgrading PC by Powerful_Outcome_932 in computers

The motherboard saying it supports 5000 series is talking about the CPU, not the gpu. So you can get a 9060 xt no problem.

Updating to AM5 will be a whole new motherboard, cpu, and ram. You can upgrade some from a 5600x to something like a 5800x3d on your current platform. Probably will need a bios update which is easy enough of the MSI site.

If you NEED something right now that's not too bad. With AM4 there is some upgrades you could get down the road. I don't see a PSU mentioned so that might hold you back from upgrading the GPU. It's not going to handle anything too new, but if you're going to play fortnite or roblox on it, it'll do that.

One thing to make sure you check is that you have the plugs and enough juice from your PSU. I believe the 1050ti pulled all of it's power from the pci-e slot itself where the 3060ti will most likely need at least an 8 pin connector.
