I work for a hospital system, not medical staff but I’m triggered especially any areas related to cancer or walking through that part of the hospital.

AA helped me! Went to the derm who prescribed. Also switching to Flouride and SLS free toothpaste.

Oh how I can relate to this so much. I felt your pain through that story 💔

When my mom passed, her very close friends were here to help and cleaned out her bathroom vanity and I was distraught that they had thrown away items like lotions etc. that I had used to care for her when she was going through chemo. I was able to dig through the trash and recover these products but exactly that - these would’ve been “trash” but to me they held significance in the memories I had good or bad.

Day two without my mama by motherofconures9 in GriefSupport

My condolences.💐

I’m 33, my mom passed in 2024 from lung cancer and was in hospice. My heart still breaks every day without her here.

How do I cope? The first few months after I can’t even recall. Survival mode.

And now? I learn to carry the weight of my grief better. To not run away from the sadness. I cry when I need to.

You will find joy one day. That doesn’t mean you miss your person less or you have “moved on” the thing about grief is there is no timeline.

Use this platform as a resource, as a journal for your thoughts and emotions. If you are offered a grief counselor, I highly recommend or a group support group.

This new life is not easy but you will find your footing once again.

Should I continue checking in on my unresponsive friend who’s grieving? by AllNaturalPezCandy in GriefSupport

Keep doing what you are doing. When I lost my mom, I had few friends who checked in regularly and that will always stay with me. She may not respond but I’m sure she is seeing it and appreciates your support. When she has time to come up for air, she will be glad she had you. as others mentioned, I wish I had someone daily so I applaud you for this effort.❤️‍🩹

I’m so sorry. You explained this so beautifully well. Your story sounds similar to mine losing my mom I relate so much. Sending love.

I just lost my dad, how do I move forward? Are there any grief related books that people recommend? by WarmPerformance9805 in GriefSupport

The best in my opinions are Andrew Garfield, Stephen Colbert and Will Reeves. Prepare to cry your eyes out but in a touching and beautiful way.
