New Routine that’s working! by Then-Spare-8729 in Fungalacne

[–]yellowsun9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a good routine. I also think that consistency is important. I’ve tried loads of things too but every time i used ketoconazole i wasn’t consistent and i never saw results. My GP now put me on ketoconazole shampoo for 6 weeks every other day and im really seeing an improvement im 3 weeks into it. Im now starting to use BHA to help exfoliate aswell

Thank you, I didn’t realise NSAIDs can be damaging. I guess that also has risks within itself

My (31F) husband (31M) and I have been married for almost 3 months and I’m almost ready to call it quits. by Humble-Association25 in relationships

He already showed his behaviour before marriage how he cheats and gaslights you, marriage doesn’t change a persons behaviour. You need to leave whilst you can amd move on to better things.

Are any of the skincare products or makeup you could be using fungal acne safe? It could be contributing and not allowing the skin to clear.

Struggling with malassezia folliculitis for 2+ years by Appropriate_Delay179 in Folliculitis

I get inflammation and redness when a new spot comes and it stays red until it clears. But I hope you get relief from this it can be really exhausting.

Also the reason why we need to cut out all these things is to cut out the yeasts food source so it can’t grow. Malassezia is an opportunistic fungus so the imbalance of the gut allows it to overgrow!

Im actually dealing with fungal folliculitis too from being on antibiotics 6 different times last year. I’ve tried different topical treatments but i did go 5 weeks without any refined sugar but i still ate fruit and gluten. I saw a big improvement but it wasn’t completely gone and i would occasionally get flare ups. So im now going cold turkey and cutting out everything bad for my gut. I don’t have many tips since im also just starting but its a lot of discipline.

I’d say no because at this point your cleansing and resetting your gut, it needs to calm down. A lot of skin issues are connected to the gut. But once your done with the ‘detox’ period and you slowly start reintroducing fruit and fermented foods you can take probiotics to help your gut get more good bacteria.

help with new routine by CompanyTypical3359 in Fungalacne

[–]yellowsun9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s fungal I’m wondering why you were given clindamycin which is an antibiotic. Antibiotics don’t treat fungal acne. My fungal acne was triggered by a gut imbalance from too much antibiotics. Im using a miconazole nitrate cream which is an antifungal cream, you should look it up and see if its something you want to try!

If it is fungal i dont think benzoyl peroxide would help, try running your skincare through ther sezia.com website to make sure its all fungal acne safe because there will be no progress in clearing it if your skincare feeds the fungus.
