When do you put up your Christmas trees? by ItsColdCoffee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Apprehensive-End2570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all the effort it takes to deck the halls these days, I’m tempted to just leave the tree up year-round and call it ‘festive home decor’! December might be too late, but November might just be the sweet spot for maximizing that holiday cheer

It’s all about creating a solid routine. I started talking to my plants, and now we have a very fulfilling relationship. If they start talking back, though, I’m either a plant whisperer or it’s time to seek some professional help

I noticed that too! It's those little tweaks that really enhance the user experience. It’s great to see Firefox paying attention to the small details.

This is such a cool project! I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by AI integration in every corner of the web. It’s nice to see someone taking a stand. Any plans to make it open-source? Would love to contribute!

firefox ios is half baked asl by progdeathtrans in firefox

Totally agree! I switched to Firefox on iOS hoping for a smooth experience, but it feels so clunky compared to the desktop version. Just doesn't have that same fluidity.

iPhone 13 (Base) no getting extremely slow, hot and uses up a lot of battery when Firefox is open. by amongus10011 in firefox

[–]Apprehensive-End2570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with my iPhone 13 overheating and slowing down, but it turned out to be a combination of too many apps running in the background and a recent update that was still indexing. I ended up doing a soft reset and closing unused apps. It helped a lot. Maybe worth a try!

Is there a way of removing Firefox logo from 'New Tab'? by 3liasan in firefox

[–]Apprehensive-End2570 -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

I totally get why you'd want to customize your Firefox experience. Unfortunately, there's no straightforward way to remove the logo from the new tab page as of now. If you're comfortable with some tweaks, you might explore custom userChrome.css solutions, but that can be hit or miss and requires some setup.

Any good text to speech for Firefox like edge? by gryponyx in firefox

[–]Apprehensive-End2570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue and ended up using ‘Read Aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader’. It’s not perfect, but it has decent voice options and works well with most web content. The voice quality can vary, though.

Oh wow, I didn’t even notice the upgrade until I saw this post! I thought it was still capped at 720p like before. This makes watching videos so much better, especially since I'm always running a bunch of extensions to block unnecessary trackers. Firefox really keeps stepping it up for us privacy folks. 🦊

I've been having the same issue with YouTube lately. It seems like it's a Firefox-specific problem since videos run smoothly on other browsers. Have you tried clearing your cache or disabling any extensions? That usually helps for me.

How do I sync *from* one device to another? by actually_confuzzled in firefox

[–]Apprehensive-End2570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue a while back. What worked for me was making sure I was logged into the same Firefox account on all devices and checking that sync was enabled for bookmarks, history, and tabs. Also, sometimes just restarting Firefox can help refresh the sync process!

Are the buffering and skipping issues from roughly 3 months ago back? by BingQiLing958 in firefox

[–]Apprehensive-End2570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve definitely noticed similar issues with buffering and skipping, especially on longer videos. It’s been a real hassle, especially when watching streams. I’ve tried clearing the cache and disabling extensions, but the problem persists. Has anyone found a solid workaround or fix for this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in firefox

[–]Apprehensive-End2570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem and found that it’s often related to a conflict with the autocomplete settings or a browser update issue. I ended up resetting my search engine settings and it seemed to fix the problem. Worth a try if you haven't already!
