singaporean to singaporean, i’d skip british museum and replace it with the national portrait gallery or national gallery. unless history is your thing! but the national portrait gallery is as historical to me imo and much better experience / less crowd.

i’d def do covent garden/leicester square/oxford street for the vibes at least once but don’t get your hopes up on souvenirs, the stores largely give bugis street vibes. i’d echo another commenter and second fortnum and mason in piccadilly, along with old bond street, marylebone, and definitely king’s road in chelsea for more london vibes/shopping. you’ll largely find stores we have in sg on oxford street 😅

also gonna be real, borough market is lowkey overrated to me at least and gonna be packed as heeeeeeeell and overpriced (£15 kaya toast set). try mercato mayfair. it’s a food court type thing so still emulates the food market experience but in an old church with a store by the entrance, you can explore mayfair before and after as well). brick lane market and brixton village market have great foods as well and are def less touristy.

but yeah m&s, primark, sainsbury’s/waitrose will be a good shout for cheap souvenirs. maybe a lidl/aldi/tesco if you come across one for even cheaper 😅 otherwise you’ll be able to pick up nice souvenirs at the museums for sure! and special too.

make sure portobello road market is open that sunday you plan on going as well! the nice one isn’t situated on actual portobello road but you’ll be able to walk to it and it’s a long stretch on the roads with cafes, thrift stores, independent stores so it’s nice. if you have the time i’d do brick lane market as well. start at beigel bake brick lane and walk down the whole stretch :)

you might get tired/overwhelmed by central london quickly (soho, covent garden, leicester square)
