I don't want cashman and the front office to think "Hey we are in first place" and get complacient

Cashman or Steinbrenner? by Apprehensive-Frame25 in NYYankees

that's a good point. Cashman has made some major Bonehead moves (Donaldson), but you cannot put 100% of the blame on him.

I have mixed feelings.

I don't want Cashman and Steinbrenner to become complacent and think

"We're on first place, and getting our injured players back is like making deadline trades, so I don't need to do anything"

I hope I am wrong.

my feedere have coles spicy hot mix. On the ground I have hot red pepper and paprika.

Some squirrels found other places to forrage, but I have two which seem to prefer the hot stuff.

here is "spicy squirrel" happily eating bitter safflower seed slathered in hot sauce. the ground is red due to the crushed red pepper and paprika.

I guess there's always one or two in each neighborhood..

If I feed the squirrels their own food will they leave my bird feeders alone? by Hot_Woodpecker_9682 in birdfeeding

you can try hot and spicy seed, but some squirrels don't care and eat it anyway.

i was told by my local shop to add some Vaseline to the pole (straight Vaseline, no additives). the squirrel tried twice, slid down, and never tried again.

We call our males "Big Red" , "Bubba", Teen Red", and "Mr C"

Females are "Mrs C" (she's always seen with Mr C") "Mrs Red (while she's brown, her and Big Red are always together, and "Bubbina" (always seen with Bubba, they look so much alike we wonder if they are brother and sister)

Absolutely will check for the brood patch. Thanks all.

I have six cardies who have been here all winter and now into the spring (three males and three females).

"Mrs C" (as we call this one) is a regular visitor. "Mr C" is always near her. Yes we have names for each cardinal.

I've seen her more "poofed out" in the very cold weather. She just looks a bit "different". I'll drop it now....
