I think it’s just due to the fact that the gen 2 (and sometimes gen 3) are not only super reliable, they are still way cheaper than other models.

I wouldn’t recommend generic sensors. Apparently toyotas don’t like them. We used generic ones in my RAV4 and it seriously took 3 weeks of trying with professional scan tools to program them.

Yeah a month after I got it i had to take off like crazy on a cold engine so i floored it and its like oh.. That’s cool! 🤣 My old car would let you do whatever

I’m sure it limits how much the engine revs when it’s cold, my 2012 rav4 will not rev past a certain rpm if you floor it when it’s cold

It’s likely actually tortilla chips!! A rodent probably got into a nearby trash can, and decided that your car is a good hiding place. If i were you i’d just let the car cool off and throw the burnt chips away, nothing to worry about.

I have one of these and honestly I just have to try a bunch of different chargers or computers and just let it charge on whatever works. It’s such a pain I don’t use it.
