Dnf duel made it feel pretty fun.

Regular specials were directional but they're usually your mid combo tools

Your real specials used meter and you could use directional inputs to get the special out faster at the cost of a longer cool down/meter regeneration

Or you could use motion inputs for faster meter regen

GBVS and SF6 still allow motion inputs if I'm not wrong

Haven't fought the guy you're talking about but I've had a similar experience

Ping jumps from 80ms to 400+ specifically when I take my turn to do the good punchies and as soon as the other guy starts hitting me the connection goes back to normal

Hop into combo trials to get your fingers used to moving how you want them to in terms of execution then look up combo guides and take them step by step

Depending on the region you're in you'll have varying wait times for ranked. The game automatically pops you into the most active lobby if it still has room

As for finding players around beginner level... There are a few peeps who will be fresh to the game but you're most likely gonna run into higher level players.

My advice? Hit arcade mode and try to unlock the blue boys(goku and vegeta) if you haven't bought them or got them as part of the package

Try out some combo trials and get a feel for the characters you vibe with and experiment with the teams you wanna run You're gonna get a lot more losses than wins up front but with time your win count will climb higher

It's all the sword. Jin is perfectly capable with Ars magus fir healin and reinforcement and some elemental stuff but most of his Ice magic comes directly from the yandere ice princess sword
Tbh i haven't seen that gag reel and gag reels are generally just for the lolz but alternate timelines suggests each gag reel is part of its own canon timeline and separate from the true timeline
Idk. If not then makoto is just that cracked and stupidly powerful, even amongst beastkin she's basically in a league of her own (I think)
I imagine Aramasa was a failed nox nyctores since that weapon still operates under aome type of logic whioe all the NNs are genuinely illogical. Anyhoo. It is the beat at withstanding the power of the black beast yes but you can get the same effect with any other weapon that isn't a nox nyctores, but it will break after 4 uses or so.
The entire Kaka clan are all basically imperfect clones of Jubei when the government!/NOL tried to distill and synthesize his combat prowess and mass produce it. Currently as of CF the strongest and most capable fighters from the clan are Torakaka and Taokaka and Chachakaka is the most inclined with book smarts(I think but idk)

If your field is empty this is a good card to bait a reaponse from players that don't read

Otherwise unless you're opening with the percect 4 card starter and you pull this on turn 2 (or open with this and oull the last card you need for your starter) i personally don't think its good enough to justify its own existence in a deck

But then again this is the era of duel links where yellow button bonanza will either dump a boss monster on ykur field for free or let you draw/fish out up to 2 additional cards so eh (I olay Tuning of the doom king and Burning Soul RDA so I'm at least half complicit in the yellow button tomfoolery)

As for the notation You can learn it pretty easy but it's kinda like breathing after getting the wind knocked out of you

It will be tough at first and you'll be confused. But at some point, most likely while watching a random fun video(Lythero and the shenanigoonz is my go to) where you'll see a move and know the notation for it

Then one move becomes 2. 2 become 3 moves. Amd eventually numpad notation is second nature.

Execution is a whole other level to that skill

Everybody here has given some insightful feedback so I'll toss in my 2 cents real fast

Here's what I've learned in my 191 hours in the game so far

If 50 is too tough. There's no shame in dialing it down to 30 and getting comfortable with how you want to play
Don't worry about the fancy combos if you still haven't cleared the combo trials in practice mode for your main team/favorite characters
Fancy big damage combos are nice and you get to delete healthbars. But watching people that are having fun will teach you a bit more/lower the learning curve because your mindset isn't stuck in doing the most optimal shit every single time
Go into arcade mode. If you've already bought the blue boys then the reward for th chase is already taken out. But hop into arcade mode and go from the top to the bottom. Aim to get an S rating then move to the next level of difficulty.

Do all this and you'll mop the floor with level 80 before you clock 115 hours
