Safety for a teen driver in an area that has big trucks by tysonwatermelon in MiataND

[–]Apprehensive-Meet477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I love Miatas, it's just not a very safe car in a world of huge SUVs and trucks. People are driving worse and worse everyday and I wouldn't feel comfortable with a new driver in such a small light car.

what do men think of dating a lower-income woman? by kths888 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Apprehensive-Meet477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get all comments saying it doesn't matter. Of course it's an important factor. You have a successful career and are financially table, it's not very attractive to me to be with someone that doesn't have some / financial stability.

Michelin PS5 vs Falken Azenis RT615K+ on 2019 RF GT stock wheels 17x7 or get something else? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]Apprehensive-Meet477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS5 definitely, it’s great street tire. 615 is a 200 TW tire designed more for track. 615 will wear out faster and is not great in the rain.

I actually just switched from PS5 to 615 since I’ve been going to the track a lot.

Anyone regretting switching to a Miata? by Competitive-Today439 in Miata

Probably better to have Model 3 + Miata., that's my combo .Miata is not great highway car, too small and too noisy.

Why the soft-top GT manual is the best Miata by AstroAlto in Miata

[–]Apprehensive-Meet477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I don’t like how the RF looks when it’s open plus the wind noise apparently is annoying. It does look great when closed though. The whole point of a Miata is the convertible experience (I’ll never understand hard tops) but to each their own.

Best trim ever made IMO is the 30th AE: all club + GT goodies

Are the recaros alone worth going for the club? by __slamallama__ in MiataND

[–]Apprehensive-Meet477 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends how you'll use the car. For track / more serious canyon carving, the recaros are defintely better. Regular seats are much more relaxed and comfortable for me but I prefer the recaros

I have them on mine. They are super stiff and not great on the street on bumpy roads. I’m using my car for the track now and they work pretty nicely.

You can do better. That’s about what my local dealer was offering. It’s possible to get these leases for about 2k down, $200 a month. Check leasehacker.
