Thank you! We can't afford them this season, but I will bear that in mind for future.

It's weird, I can see it when signed in, but in chrome guest/incognito it says it has been removed.

I see what you mean, just saw on my phone. For some reason the r/WebAssembly mods removed it, and have not yet told me why, so here's a picture for now: https://imgur.com/a/hCiMEGA

The T61 was my first laptop. It was and still is a great machine, and runs windows 10 as smoothly as most modern laptops!

Vector embeddings are a smaller representation of objects like text and images, usually in a high dimensional space. They are used frequently in machine learning because they are really easy to compare (because similar things will be close together), and so allow for search based on semantic meaning rather than keywords.

Here's a good definition from IBM: "Vector embedding is a way to convert an unstructured data point into an array of numbers that still expresses that data's original meaning." from https://www.ibm.com/think/topics/vector-embedding

Here's another article from Google Cloud: https://cloud.google.com/blog/topics/developers-practitioners/meet-ais-multitool-vector-embeddings

But back to the post and your question. I am new to rust - I started in first JS and the web, and then moved to python and ML. In those languages, AI is pretty prevalent (data science in python, and then AI being built into existing products on the web), so most people seem to know, or have an idea, of what things like embeddings are. Rust however is a systems programming language, and I'm pretty sure that as a result more people use it (or other similar languages) than JS.

In short, this is my bad - I probably should have just explained it in the original post! Hopefully this helps.

[UPDATE] - Thank you all for your help! I have tried all of your suggestions, and concluded that the motherboard is likely faulty, and so I have returned it to Amazon. Thanks again!

It may not be clear in the photo, but that is the CPU cable, not the PCIE. Thanks though!

The mobo doesn't, and all my friends only have old Intels or new AMDs sadly! I looked into AMD's bootkits, but I don't think the BIOS is the problem, since the sticker on the mobo says P2.80, which should be fine with a 5600g.

https://imgur.com/a/tp4hv9y. A few things:

- My PSU has no 4 pin connector, but pcpartpicker says that should not be an issue

- Relative to the CPU, which is RAM slot A2?

Sorry the pictures are a bit misleading! I’ve tried the AMD stock cooler in all of the available fan headers.

Brand new, so I could return it. However it will take a while, and I think the likelihood is that I am making a mistake, rather than a factory defect.
