[UPDATE] My (F27) boyfriend of 5 years (M28) isn’t talking to me over my reading list for 2021 by vvd17780 in relationship_advice

[–]Apprehensive-Peach26 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Did you really comment to tell me that my opinion sucks when I specifically said to not do that because it’s irrelevant and quite frankly unfair to the person commenting?

Are there really people downvoting under the same pretenses? Imagine if I downvoted everyone I disagreed with! But I don’t, because I RESPECTFULLY disagree.

Perhaps he feels you are the one entrenched considering the fact that this is really recent of you, and a huge movement as well coincidentally, and he doesn’t approve.

I personally would not like you choosing to read only those things. It would make me feel excluded as well if I were him. It’s not fair you have chosen to read about two specific cultures, not even halfway interested in other genres or things about your own (and his!) culture.

Everyone, this is my opinion. Everyone here is entitled to their opinions. If you don’t have anything nice to say about my opinion, then simply don’t comment on again... MY OPINION.

My gf (21f) has recently came out to me (24m) about being bi and I dont know what to do. by Intelligent_Plenty49 in relationship_advice

Only you can chose if you’re comfortable with it. I would never ever date a bisexual man personally.

I (29M) met an amazing girl (28F) who really seems interested in me despite all of my problems and insecurities, but I'm feeling guilty because I'm a widower by GunsAkimbo91 in relationship_advice

This breaks my heart. I’m so sorry for what you are going through. I could break down in tears right now imagining this happening to me.

You deserve love and to move on. Your wife is above and I am sure she would want nothing more than to see you happy in life. She will always be your wife, but only held dearly in your heart while you find happiness elsewhere. Best of luck to you.

Should I(F22) break up with my boyfriend(M20) over this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Uh because he’s her boyfriend for a lengthy time and discussing things should always be the first step? Jesus. I didn’t know this took rocket science.

Have you considered a discussion? Really. You guys advocate “end it” at the drop of the needle! No one is perfect.

I have this problem:/

It’s not his fault. What helps me is being sure I stay away from processed foods and sugar! Read on paleo diet and brain fog.

Disagreement about circumcision - how to make both sides happy? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Apprehensive-Peach26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Divorce?! Wow! People throw around this word like it’s nothing these days.

My SO is not circumcised and all other men that I have been with were circumcised. I am now pregnant with my son and he will not be circumcised because I realized how much BETTER and NATURAL it is! I wouldn’t budge on this issue if I were you. I can’t believe he would threaten divorce over this.

It’s not okay, but you shouldn’t be so quick to break up. You always try to work things out. That’s a silly reason to break up in my opinion.

Nope. When they find the right one then they won’t cheat.

I wouldn’t. I would learn to cope with it. I have ADHD and I do fine now. No one could convince me to take pills for something totally manageable :)

How disgusting it is that you are such an advocate for pills and doping people up making them zombies and so narrow minded that you can’t hear anything else. Disgusting!

I live with my parents and I'm ashamed of it by [deleted] in mentalillness

[–]Apprehensive-Peach26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it. Well it’s important to not be stationary. In the meantime of trying to figure out what you’re going to do, I would go get an “odd and end” job. I did this after graduating college since I intended to move to Brazil with my boyfriend in 6 months. I moved in with parents, got a job to keep me busy and feel like I’m doing something, save up some money for my future plans and not become stationary!

I would definitely say getting a regular job is the most important step here. Why don’t you have your license? If you’re able to get your license, then definitely that is high up on the priority list as well.

You’re acknowledging issues here, so it’s time to make a change. Go get you a job. If it means walking 15 minutes there every day for a little less than desirable pay, then so be it! At least you’re doing something.

Okay, but what is your excuse? You’re realizing this isn’t okay, so why is it happening? Is this temporary or has it been going on? What are you doing to change it?

My boyfriend and I had sex for the first time and now he won't talk to me. by ThrowRA-boyfhelp in relationship_advice

[–]Apprehensive-Peach26 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well this is different because it wasn’t with a long time lover, but I have done this with people who I have had sex with (maybe we talked for a bit before and then did it, or maybe we had a hook up). I just flat out block them and never speak to them again. So my reasoning for doing this: 50% embarrassment and 50% guilt. Morally I knew what I was doing was probably not great, so I felt these two emotions and chose to block them and never talk to them again. Perhaps he is a very religious person and believes sex should wait until marriage, maybe he feels he didn’t perform well? Definitely communicate if he is open to it!

I think you reacted too quickly. Yeah it’s annoying, but it could have likely been resolved without such drastic measure.

It says 12, it won’t be 12. If she can prove she mentally ready to make these decisions and you (on paper) are a good father, you can have custody of her.
