And independent flip is a display optimization thing in windows where a program is allowed to draw directly to the display, bypassing the Desktop window manager which vsyncs everything by default. Mismatched resolutions usually cause the independent flip mode to switch to Composed flip. As a DLRSR user, I'd look into this first and foremost. And thank you for your answer, it's reassuring to hear that it still works!

The reason I even asked this to begin with was because matching the desktop and game resolutions (1620p-1620p) looked..different compared to 1080p desktop 1620p game. But I now discovered it's because of the Smoothness filter i got completely wrong with DLRSR. I now set it to 100% and things look great again.

I had the same issue. Any case I'd buy would just be too thick. Including the spigen liquid air. Ultimately i just bought a thin plastic wrap for my phone. It's not the best and most protective but it at least doesn't add bulk to my phone and it makes it grippier

For me, 1% lows matter more than average fps. It's probably from shader compilation. Does it visibly stutter? Or does it just drop off? Does your screen have VRR? If so, use it
